Nam, Seung Woo President,
Global Compact Korea Network Chairman
of the Board and CEO, Pulmuone Group

|
Seung Woo Nam is currently
the president of UN Global Compact
Korea Network and the chairman
of the Board and CEO of Pulmuone
Group. Educated at Seoul National
University majoring in Law,
he earned both of his M.S and
Ph.D at the graduate school
of engineering of Yonsei University.
After working at Hyundai Engineering
and Construction Co., Ltd as
a purchasing manager, he founded
Pulmuone Group in 1984.
He is also a recipient of
numerous honors/awards, which
include the Appreciation Plague
from the United Nations Conference
on Environment and Development(1992),
the Presidential Prize in the
30th National Tax day(1996),
the 6th Enterprise Prize for
economic justice(1997), Management
Structure Improvement Superiority
Enterprise Prize(2005), and
the 1st Innovation Management
Prize at Sustainable Management
Prize(2006).

Ju, Chul
Ki Vice President, Secretary General of the UN Global Compact Korea Network

|
Chul Ki Ju is currently Vice
President and Secretary-General
of the United Nations Global
Compact Korea Network. He retired
from the diplomatic career at
the end of 2006 after winding
up his long career as Ambassador
to the United Nations in Geneva,
Ambassador to Morocco and Mauritania,
and ultimately in France. He
also served as Ambassador to
UNESCO where he assumed the
role of Chairman of ASPAC Group.
At home, he worked as Director-General
of Economic Affairs of Korean
Foreign Ministry covering ASEM,
APEC, WTO, OECD as well as Environment,
Energy and Development Issues.
He served as Chief delegate
to many international conferences
and as chairman of the Asian
Group at the Human Rights Commission
in Geneva and Vice Chairman
of the Regional Trade Agreement
Committee. He taught at the
Yonsei University as visiting
professor and now he teaches
at the Graduate School of International
Studies of the Seoul National
University as visiting professor.
He led efforts for launching
the Global Compact Korea Network
in September 2007 and serves
there as Vice President and
Secretary General. He studied
in the Graduate School of Public
Administration in France and
got his master degree of international
politics in the Free Brussels
University in Belgium. He wrote
a book ˇ°France in the 21st
centuryˇ± and contributed various
articles on the United Nations
system, international politics
and economics.
