Joint Session

PRI

UNEP FI

UN GC

PRI

The second PRI in Person annual event will be a forum to discuss a range of PRI implementation strategies with fellow signatories, ask questions, offer solutions and develop relationships. It will also be an opportunity to have input into the activities of the PRI initiative, and how it will be able to best support   signatories in their implementation efforts. The sessions will be designed to be interactive as they will be carried out in small groups. We anticipate that this will allow for maximum interaction between signatories. We expect more than 200 PRI signatories to attend this year¡¯s event.

Please note that participation in this event is "open to PRI signatories only"

All PRI signatories will receive separate information on registration for the event. All attendees to the PRI in Person 2008 annual event will automatically be registered for the Changing Landscapes conference.

Break-out sessions - Peer dialogue: owners, managers and service partners

These sessions were added in this year after feedback from signatories requesting more time to discuss issues with those of their peers who are doing similar jobs on a day-to-day basis. While each of the three major categories of signatory are quite diverse, these sessions seek to group people with similar roles to discuss the challenges they face within their part of the investment chain.

- Asset owners - Managing managers and consultants
The purpose of this session is to give asset owners who outsource management the opportunity to discuss how to select, manage and monitor fund managers and asset consultants to ensure that these agents are aligned with the PRI and are fulfilling the owners' commitments under the PRI.

- Asset managers - Managing assets, educating clients and accessing research
The purpose of this session is to gather the managers together to discuss the challenges of implementing the PRI from their perspective. Is it the owners who need to be educated? Are they prepared to invest in ESG capability and make it a requirement of RFPs? Is the research now coming online, or do we need to push harder with initiatives such as the Enhanced Analytics Initiative?

- Service providers - Research and consulting
The purpose of this session is to bring together service providers to discuss how the research and consulting sector can work together to provide better services.
