Green Conference

Greeting

We have the honor of inviting you to participate in the ¡®Changing Landscapes: Towards a sustainable economy in Asia¡¯ conference, an event jointly hosted by the Principles for Responsible Investment, UNEP Finance Initiative and the UN Global Compact in Seoul, Republic of Korea on 17 - 18 June 2008. The conference¡¯s objective is to facilitate the promotion of environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors across the business activities of financial institutions, institutional investors and corporations. We would greatly appreciate your active participation.

The joint conference on 17 June 2008 will provide a forum for discussion between financiers, investors and businesses on current issues in the field of sustainable finance, responsible investment and corporate citizenship that cut across all sectors. We expect over 600 participants from the Republic of Korea, Asia and abroad, including a significant number of leaders from business, politics, academia and civil society.

The joint session on the same afternoon will comprise an opening and closing plenary and a breakout session with multiple themes. A gala dinner will follow in the evening, allowing participants to engage in further discussion in a lighter environment.

We strongly feel that your presence in these aforementioned sessions would greatly contribute to the successful convening of the conference and permit fruitful dialogue among stakeholders who are working to advance sustainable finance, responsible investment and corporate citizenship.

We thank you in advance for your attention to, and consideration of, this important matter and we very much look forward to meeting you in Seoul.

Yours Sincerely,

James Gifford
